It's official! we have gone Vokal...
The Vermont Organization of Koha Automated Libraries (VOKAL), is a project of the Green Mountain Library Consortium dedicated to creating a shared catalog and Integrated Library System.
You can now go onto http://pawlet.kohavt.org
here you will see which libraries have what, or go onto your "card" sight. This means you now have access to seeing what other libraries has a book you maybe interested in. I still need to request the "hold" book but you can send me a request via Vokal.
In addition your card will access so many awesome things.
"Listen up Vermont" Universal Class etc.
the OPAC login in is your last name with first intitial example smithj and password is the last 4 digits of your phone #
Feel free to call or come in if you need any help :-)

Here is what's new at the library
Thank you ALL for coming out to the 2nd annual Holiday Market. We did two days this year Saturday and a Sunday. Let's spread the word and make it a local success.
Thanks to ALL the vendors for supporting this new venture it is a lot of fun and supports our "LOCALVORE"
Holidays are swiftly approaching our Library hours for will be CLOSED 12/23 & 12?24 regular Winter hours for the remainder of the week followed by being CLOSED 12/30...see you in the New Year!
Remember if area schools are closed, we too are closed...stay safe.
Author event December 14, at 7:00 pm. Meet Mary Martin Holland author of The Spaces In Between & C.W. Wolf author of The Unknown Pyp Coffee will be on and you will hear excerpts from their latest novels followed by an autograph and discussion. Makes a great gift...Support your local library
Lastly... Our annual appeal will be coming out. As an added bonus any donation of $125.00 or higher, you will receive our 250th limited edt. anniversary poster a quilt that was designed by our area "chat-n-crafters" a great gift for the New Year.

- For anyone in need, the Pawlet Library is open, Tuesday til 7, Wednesday, 12:00-7:00, Thursday 11:00-5:00 Friday 11:00-4 we have wifi, we have a phone and people who care. Stop by I'll put the coffee on.please not there is an extra half hour each day. Unfortunately we will be closed Saturday.
For the Art on the Green is happening. Come out and support the Pawlet Scholarship fundraiser!

Annual Volunteer Picnic...August 11 at the Emerald Lake State Park
The Book Sale was a huge success! Our annual Emerald Lake picnic is coming up August 11...The library will be closed and all our awesome volunteers are invited. We will be on the beach part and pavilion. Entrance fee is $2.00 hope you can join us :-) bring a dish to share and let's have some fun!

BOOK SALE Approaching fast
Book Sale July 30th from 9-3 and 31rst from 10-2. The location is at the Mettawee Community School. We have more then 25,000 books gently used, rare books, coffee table books, cd’s and videos. An awesome raffle, great prizes and a bake sale too.
